Welcome back to LTCC - we are very excited that you're returning to Elevate Your Education on our campus! If you've skipped two or more consecutive quarters at LTCC, you'll need to update your application and follow the steps below.


Steps to Enrollment for Returning Students

U.S. Students         International Students      High School Students

You will begin by updating your information at OpenCCC's online application.

During this process you will be asked to update your intended major and educational goal, along with some basic personal, educational and residency information.

If you have completed courses at another college, official transcripts are REQUIRED.

All prerequisites and corequisites are enforced at registration. If you have taken the required course at another college, please submit official transcripts to Enrollment Services.



Math placement tests are a way to help you enter college at the right level. Placement tests assess your math skills. Your counselor will use this information to help you choose the right Math classes.

Assessment tests are administered on a first come first serve basis.


High school or transcripts from another college are critical for proper English placement. Please bring official transcripts to your Counseling appointment, or have your transcripts mailed to LTCC.

What to have
- Verifiable photo ID with full name and recent photo
- LTCC Student ID number
- At least 1 hour for the Math Assessment 
Orientation is required for ALL students. Please sign up for an upcoming orientation.
All students are required to meet with a counselor to develop an educational plan. Please contact Enrollment Services for an appointment with a counselor. (530) 541-4660 x 211. 


  • Check your registration priority time
  • Register for classes using the student portal (Passport), or at the One-Stop office.
  • Payment of registration fees is required at the time of registration. Students who do not pay their fees before classes begin with be disenrolled.



Transferring to Another College

Transferring from LTCC to another college? Meet with a counselor to review your transcripts and create a plan!

To send a Lake Tahoe Community College transcript, we must have your written authorization to release your records.

You may request your transcript:

  • Online via your Passport account;
  • Requests are also accepted in person at the One-Stop (Room A102);
  • By mail (to the address listed below);
  • Or by fax to (530) 541-1781

You may complete our Transcript Request Form (PDF) or submit a request with the following information:

  • Your current name and all other names used (printed, so it is legible)
  • Your LTCC Student ID number
  • Your date of birth
  • Your current address
  • The name and address where the transcript should be send (incomplete or inaccurate addresses may be undeliverable)
  • The approximate dates of attendance at LTCC
  • A day time phone number where you can be reached for questions
  • Payment of applicable fees
  • Your signature at the end of the request
  • Faxed requests must include a VISA or MasterCard account number and expiration date with authorization for the charge.

Pick up your transcript
If you request to pick up your official transcript, you will be notified when the request has been processed. No transcripts will be issued/released for student pickup without all of the following:

  • Photo ID
  • Signature or written release from the student
  • Pay fee, if necessary

It usually takes 2-3 weeks after the last day of final exams for each quarter before grades are posted to official transcripts.  If your instructor has already entered grades for your class, you may be able to view the unofficial grades via Passport prior to the transcript posting date for all classes.

Graduation information including degree and date awarded is posted to the transcript by August 31st of each year for students who graduate in June with a spring conferral. Students must complete all course requirements prior to the deadlines for completion in order for the degree to be posted.

The first two official transcripts ever requested by a student at One-Stop will be provided without charge. Each additional transcript is $5.00. Normal processing time (depending on the time of year) is 7–10 business days. Rush service (processed in 2-4 business days) is an additional $10 per transcript request form submitted. If you request transcripts to be mailed, please allow additional transit time for mail delivery. All fees are payable in advance.

If you are paying by check, please note that processing time may be delayed if the check is written for the wrong amount.

Grades, transcripts, diplomas and registration privileges, or any combination thereof, shall be withheld from any student or former student who has been provided with written notice that he or she has failed to pay a proper financial obligation due to the Lake Tahoe Community College District. This could include, but is not limited to: library fines, defaulted emergency loans, returned checks, and non-payment of fees. Any item or items withheld shall be released when the student satisfactorily meets the financial obligation (Education Code Section 72237.)
