Bachelor's Degree Programs
Lake Tahoe Community College has partnered with Sierra Nevada College, Brandman University and Washington State University Global Campus to offer competitively priced degree options that can be earned on LTCC's South Shore campus! Through our University Partners, students can earn degrees in global business management, psychology, liberal studies, applied studies, hospitality business management, a master’s in education, and earn multiple discipline teaching credentials.
Designed as the hub for access to higher education, the Lisa Maloff University Center brings the most modern and effective instructional, multimedia and telecommunications equipment to engage students with. The design of the 7000-square-foot University Center weaves mountain modern elements and upscale touches with abundant natural light to create bright and airy spaces for students to gather. In addition to the classrooms, the building offers a breakout room that can be utilized by students enrolled in classes at the University Center.
LTCC has partnered with Sierra Nevada College since 2016 to bring degrees in Global Business Management and Psychology to the South Shore. With your first two years spent studying at LTCC, the total cost for these three four-year degree programs can be under $20K for California residents. In March 2018, LTCC added Brandman University, a private non-profit institution, as a partner to offer a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies starting Fall 2018. This program prepares students to enter into a multiple subject or special education teaching credential, providing a pathway for local students to achieve both the degree and credential needed to become a teacher. Brandman University has a liberal transfer policy to help you transfer credits from LTCC and other WASC-accredited institutions. The goal is to prepare you to finish your BA degree in two years or less, so you can move quickly into the teacher credentialing program.

LTCC entered into an agreement with Washington State University, a top-tiered research university, in November 2018 to offer a degree in Hospitality Business Management (HBM) through WSU Global Campus.
A hospitality business management degree is ideal for those interested in careers in casino, hotel and restaurant management, tourism, event planning, operations, and sales. At WSU you will engage in real-world learning and be fully prepared for success in the hospitality industry by the time you graduate.
Students currently can take all their courses online or streamed live, and WSU is planning to offer face-to-face courses on the LTCC campus beginning Fall 2019. Other opportunities to interact with HBM faculty will include seminars and workshops, both in person and online. Students can participate in study abroad as well.
WSU’s School of Hospitality Business Management, established in 1932, ranks among the top programs in the nation and is part of WSU’s AACSB-accredited Carson College of Business. Students in the program are eligible to apply for financial aid, and WSU’s School of Hospitality Business Management awards over $125,000 in scholarships annually.
Complete your first two years at LTCC, earning a business transfer AA degree, then apply for admission to WSU Global Campus. Applications are currently being accepted for admission to WSU Global Campus for Summer or Fall 2019.
