Human Resources

Human Resources supports the mission of Lake Tahoe Community College by facilitating life-changing employment opportunities and providing a professional and personalized approach to supporting the faculty and staff who interact directly with our students.

The Human Resource Department is responsible for personnel matters related to all academic, administration, classified, confidential, director, hourly, management, temporary, and short-term employees.

Our services include, but are not limited to: employment inquires, employment verification, contracts and compensation, personnel records, benefits, collective bargaining negotiations, recruitment, and facilitating open position fulfillment.

The Professional Learning Network

The Professional Learning Network (PLN) is a shared learning site for faculty, staff, administrators, and trustees to collaborate across the California Community Colleges system and access a comprehensive library of professional development resources.

The Institutional Effectiveness project, which is part of the Institutional Partnership Initiative, has helped to create the PLN with funds from the Chancellor’s Office in order to create a system that will provide assistance to faculty and staff to help improve operations and student success.

Any California Community College employee can register for an account with the PLN.  Please go to the Register/Login and fill out the short form.  You will be required to have a recognized school or partner email domain.
