LTCC Unveils New Logo at 2026 State of the College Address

September 17, 2026

Changing a logo that has represented this college for decades is not something we took lightly. LTCC's original mark has been part of its identity since the early years, and it still shows up in email signatures and around campus today. But LTCC has grown and changed more than that logo has.

Two years ago, LTCC's 50th anniversary logo gave us a preview of what a new look could feel like. It did its job. Now it's time for what comes next.

This was not a full rebrand, and it was never meant to be one. It's an evolution of where LTCC has been, built on the college's strategic plan rather than a quick refresh. We wanted the next mark to keep what people already recognize as LTCC while reflecting where the college is headed, so we listened before we designed anything. We talked with employees across the college and surveyed the full staff and student body. Three ideas kept coming up. LTCC is small but mighty. It's personal and supportive. And it's rooted in this place, in the lake, the mountains, and the community that surrounds us.

Those three ideas shaped everything that followed, working with the college's design partner, Selbert Perkins Design, through several concepts before we landed on the mark you'll see in the video above. You'll notice continuity as much as change. This logo carries LTCC's identity forward instead of starting over.

You'll start noticing it everywhere. On the monument sign as you enter campus. On shirts and notebooks. On every card and letter we send.

Rooted in Tahoe. Ready for what's next.
