LTCC’s Cyber Student Attends AI-Cyber Workforce Partnership Summit
June 2, 2026

Alec Franklin, LTCC’s Cybersecurity Student, attended the innovative AI-Cyber Taskforce’s Workforce and Education Partnership Summit. The Summit was led by professor and AI-Cyber Task Force Lead Dr. Keith Clement, who has been driving the state's AI-Cyber efforts for several years, hosting convenings across California to gather stakeholder input and advance guidelines for cybersecurity education.
This high-level state event, held at the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) headquarters in Mather, brought together over 15 industry professionals who shared insights, innovations, case studies, demonstrations, and calls to action, with the objective of bridging the gap between education and employment.
Alec currently works in LTCC’s IT Department while finishing his Associate of Science in Cybersecurity, with plans to transfer to Oregon State University to become a Security Operations Center (SOC) Engineer. In addition, he founded LTCC's Cybersecurity Club as a student and has now stepped into the role of club advisor. In this position, he guides fellow students in developing and enriching their skills through hands-on activities, including competing in the National Cyber League online competition.
Through these achievements and active involvement, Alec demonstrates an outstanding academic and professional dedication to his field, which we are proud to be part of.
