LiDAR in the Meadow
Collecting LiDAR data is just one of many steps LTCC has taken over the years to better understand Trout Creek and the meadowlands adjacent to campus. Every fall, environmental science students at LTCC collect hydrologic and ecologic data that will be used to help inform land management decisions.

LTCC and Washoe Tribe Collaborate in Wildland Firefighting Course and Meadow Restoration
This summer, LTCC students and members of the Washoe Tribe learned how to safely operate chain saws during a wildland fire fighting course. Neveah Kizer (pictured here) helped to remove hazardous trees and a downed log that was blocking the trail behind the college.
