Find your course
Once you are logged into the course management system, you can view your classes on the left-hand side under Courses on your Canvas User Dashboard (you may need to click the All Courses link to see past and future enrollments). Before the quarter begins, if enrolled in an online course, you will a course listed in the Future Enrollments. Some instructors will not make their courses available until the first day of the quarter while others will make them available earlier (a live hyperlink means the instructor has opened the course). It is a good idea to begin logging in a week before the quarter begins and always be sure to access your courses on the first day of the semester.
Once you are in your course, be sure to read any information posted, including announcements and the syllabus. Be sure to follow any instructions for "checking in" or completing first day/week assignments to avoid being dropped from the course as a "no show."
Passport is a portal for managing your information, both in and out of the classroom. It is very important that you get logged in and check the information frequently. If you need help logging in, please call our Student Services Helpdesk to speak to a Student Ambassador at Phone: (530) 541-4660 x 726 or visit How to Log In To Passport or Passport Update
Office 365 is now available to all of our students. As well as having access to email, you also get the new online tools from Microsoft (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Troubleshooting Passport Issues
We have tested the site on many different browsers however we did notice an issue with older versions of Internet Explorer. If you have problems with Passport in your browser, try another one (Firefox or Chrome instead of Internet Explorer, or vice versa) for now until we can sort out all the issues.
