Congrats LTCC Retirees!
June 12, 2026

LTCC recently gathered to celebrate the retirement of Sue Kloss (on the far right) and Mark Williams (in the center between President Jeff DeFranco and Sue)! With over 25 years of service to our campus and students, Mark and Sue have contributed immensely to hundreds of academic journeys. As an institution, there is deep gratitude for having such kind, dedicated, and knowledgeable educators on our faculty team.
Celebrating Sue Kloss
As a dedicated science educator and advocate for diversity and equity, inspired countless students with both her knowledge and her compassion. Her colleagues remember the meaningful conversations, the thoughtful icebreakers, and the simple acts of kindness – like taking a new faculty member to the meadow to share the story of the grinding rock – that helped create a true sense of belonging.
Celebrating Mark Williams
As a music professor and leader, inspired generations of students to discover their creativity and confidence through the arts. Colleagues remember not only his remarkable voice and iconic performances – especially his portrayal of Man of La Mancha and memorable renditions from Phantom of the Opera – but also his willingness to embrace new ideas, build consensus, and move the college forward. Along the way, he even became known for the occasional good-natured “beer bribe” and his ability to make work feel like friendship.
Congratulations and all the best wishes in your well-deserved retirement!
