Housing at the LTCC residence hall and Aspen Apartments is available to full-time students (enrolled in 12 or more credits per term) who are over the age of 18. To reside in the new residence hall, students must also be California residents.

Priority is given to students who receive need-based financial aid, such as a Federal Pell Grant or a California College Promise Grant (formerly known as the Board of Governor's fee waiver).

Applicants should complete either the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the CA Dream Act Application (CADAA) as soon as possible to determine eligibility before final housing assignments.

The housing license agreement is in effect for the Fall, Winter, and Spring terms of each school year, with an additional summer license available to enrolled students. The full license agreement is linked in the housing application and should be reviewed carefully.

Incoming residents should also read the Residential Living @ LTCC Handbook, which details policies and procedures designed to promote a positive campus community.

Rates include all utilities: internet, electricity, water, trash, and snow removal.

Overnight parking on campus is limited. Residents may apply for an overnight parking tag, which costs $20 per academic term.

Housing fees for the on-campus residence hall include a mandatory 8-meal-per-week plan.

  • Residence hall rooms are furnished with twin XL beds, desks, chairs, chests of drawers, and built-in closets.
  • Aspen apartment bedrooms are furnished with twin XL beds, and the shared living room includes a sofa and loveseat. Apartment residents may bring small items such as a shelf or end table but may not bring large furniture items.

At this time, we cannot accommodate minor children in our housing facilities. All residents must be 18 years old and registered as full-time students.

Students living in the on-campus residence hall participate in the meal plan, which provides eight meals per week. The cafeteria is open Monday through Thursday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. Meals are available only on days when classes are in session.

Students receive two meals per day as part of the meal plan and may purchase additional items at any time, including days not covered by the plan.

Residence hall rooms include a small kitchenette area with a refrigerator and microwave. Students may bring some small appliances; however, fry pans, air fryers, electric skillets, toasters, and other high heat-producing appliances are not permitted. Please consult the Residential Living @ LTCC Handbook for additional details.

Aspen Apartments are equipped with full kitchens, including stove, oven, microwave, and refrigerator.

Only service animals and approved emotional support animals are permitted in the on-campus residence hall. No animals are allowed in the Aspen Apartments.

Requests for approval must be submitted in advance to the Office of Student Accessibility Services. No animal may be brought into the residence hall until approval has been completed.

The Office of Residential Living employs students in two capacities:

Resident Assistants (RAs) provide live-on supervision of a residence hall floor or living area and serve in an on-duty rotation.

RA responsibilities include:

  • Engaging: Planning social and educational activities to ensure residents feel welcomed and involved.
  • Educating: Encouraging positive relationships and promoting community standards.
  • Empowering: Connecting residents to campus and community resources to help them thrive.

Pay and benefits may include:

  • Free single or double-occupancy room
  • Hourly pay or stipend for specific assignments
  • Potential internship academic credit

Desk Assistants provide oversight of the residence hall front desk and assist residents and guests. These positions are generally limited to 12 hours per week and are paid hourly.

Students may apply through the housing application portal menu when the application process is active.

  • On-site laundry room
  • Secure bike storage area
  • Secure ski equipment and luggage storage
  • Community kitchen
  • First-floor study and lounge area
  • Package delivery lockers and individual mailboxes

The residence hall is staffed by a full-time Director of Residential Living who resides in the building and is available during office hours and in emergencies.

Each wing is staffed by a Resident Assistant (RA) who lives on site. RAs are fellow students who serve as peer advisors, build community, and respond to resident concerns. An RA is on duty each night.

The residential living staff also includes Desk Assistants who staff the front desk and assist residents and guests.
