General Studies

Courses are designed to meet the needs of students for studies in occupational, technical, or college preparatory areas including mathematics and English. General Studies (GES) courses are primarily designed for students with disabilities as well as for students who may benefit from course content being presented at a slower pace.

 

Program Learning Outcomes

• Demonstrate greater independence and the ability to self-advocate with college staff and instructors through the following avenues (but not limited to): instructor contact, requesting test accommodations, requesting other accommodations as appropriate, use of DRC lab and tutors.

• Identify and articulate their learning style, including their areas of strength and weakness, and strategies to overcome their difficulties.
