Sierra Nevada Alliance Wild & Scenic Film Festival
The Wild & Scenic Film Festival celebrates the beauty and wonder of our natural world and inspires audiences everywhere to take action to protect it. Concerned citizens worldwide know the urgency of the many environmental crises facing our planet today, but most don’t know how they can contribute to the fight. Now, attendees in Lake Tahoe can support their own local advocates for the environment by attending Sierra Nevada Alliance’s Wild & Scenic Film Festival On Tour event at LTCC's Duke Theatre!
Featured at the tour event on Lake Tahoe Community College's campus will be award-winning films from the flagship festival, including From My Window (Jury Award winner) and The Mud on Their Hands (Best Short winner), two incredible stories about the resiliency of the human spirit and our connections to the lands we inhabit. The Best In Theme Award winner, Elevated, is a film about expanding inclusivity in the rock climbing industry and tells the story of deaf climber Sonya Wilson. These are just a few of the many exciting and inspiring films that will be shown.
The film festival takes place Saturday, April 1 from 1pm-5pm in LTCC's Duke Theatre, located in the Fine Arts Building on campus. Parking at the college is free and ample! For more information, visit www.ltcc.edu or call (530) 541-4660.
