Latinx/Hispanic Heritage Month: Colonization, Race & Chicanx
UNR guest lecturer Dr. Lydia Huerta Moreno leads a talk on how colonization and race in America has and is affecting Chicanx people (people born in the U.S. whose family comes from Mexico). Join us in Room A208 on the second floor of the Main Building on Monday, Oct. 3 from 12-1pm.
Dr. Huerta Moreno is an Assistant Professor of Gender, Race, and Identity and Communication Studies at the University of Nevada, Reno, and also teaches at Western Nevada College. Her work focuses on the ethics of representation in cultural narratives centered on migration, human rights, violence, race and gender in film and social media.
