Gorgeous art coming your way, virtually! Two new shows now housed at LTCC will be available to view safely and virtually by visiting LTCC’s Art Galleries website. This is also where you can expand your artistic knowledge through free artist talks, delivered virtually!
Easily explore Brooklyn artists Joanne Brockley and Leonard Titzer’s joint show, “Superimposed: Drawings and Collages,” located in LTCC’s Haldan Gallery. This married couple typically creates large-scale, three-dimensional sculptures. In their new show, they share recent works composed of drawings and collages by both artists. It would have been prohibitively expensive to stage and share this exhibit of works created on the East Coast in an in-person format, but it is possible thanks to LTCC’s new virtual art gallery website.
Meet Joanne and Leonard and hear more about their varied artistic pursuits over the years in a free virtual artist talk on Thursday, January 21 at 6pm. RSVP at ltccartgallery.com to join us via Zoom!
Coming Up in February 2021: a one-woman show by retired LTCC employee and graphic design instructor Ginger Winters called, “The Art of Silk.” Though a graphic designer by profession, Ginger began painting several years ago, using colored dyes on silk as her medium. This virtual exhibition is a collection of Ginger’s recent silk paintings focusing on the beauty of our natural world and the animals that inhabit it. You’ll notice Ginger’s abiding love of pure, highly saturated color, and the interesting techniques she’s developed that make her paintings unique. Meet Ginger on Thursday, February 18 at 6pm in a free artist talk. RSVP at ltccartgallery.com to join us via Zoom!
Both of these exhibits will be available for anyone to view throughout the Winter quarter at LTCC by visiting our gallery website.
