TRiO Student Support Services

This program provides services and support to help specific groups of students reach their educational goals.

Do I qualify for TRiO services?

Students may participate in the TRiO program if they meet at least one of these criteria:

1. Neither of the student's parents graduated with a degree from a 4 year school

2. The student has a documented disability

3. The student is low income

How can TRiO help me?

Priority Registration: TRiO students get to register a day before most other students.

Counseling: TRiO students have access to additional financial aid, academic, career and transfer counseling services.

Quarterly Textbook Lending Program: TRiO students can check out textbooks to use for the quarter FREE of CHARGE.

Peer Mentoring and Tutoring: TRiO students are paired with a Peer Mentor who provides one-on-one tutoring sessions, emotional support, encouragement, study skills development, goal setting, problem solving, community resources and referrals and more.

Free Trips: TRiO students can go on free trips to four year schools and can get free tickets to cultural events (such as theater productions at LTCC).

Workshops: TRiO students can attend short workshops to help develop tools for success.
