Financial Aid

Need money for college? Then you've come to the right place. The friendly staff in LTCC's Financial Aid office can help.

  • Apply for FAFSA now
  • Apply Online for the Board of Govenors Fee Waiver (BOGW)
  • Scholarship Bulletin Board

Application Process - FAFSA

A student must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to apply for most federal and state financial aid. No fee is charged for submitting a FAFSA.

FAFSAs are available beginning on January 1 for the following academic year. The Lake Tahoe Community College school code is 012907.

You must complete a FAFSA once per school year.

Some aid is awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis, so it is important to apply early.

Additional documents will be emailed to your student email, accessible from Passport, once we receive your application. You must complete and return all requested documents in order for your financial aid to be processed.

Application Process - BOGW

The Board of Govenors Fee Waiver (BOGW) is the enrollment fee waiver for California residents. In order to qualify you must meet residency and income requirements. You can submit your application online, or print the PDF (see below) and submit it to the Financial Aid Office.
