Admission Requirements

Admission is open to anyone who is a high school graduate, has the equivalency of a high school diploma, or is at least 18 years of age and shows evidence of being able to benefit from instruction.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year. There are no application deadlines for most students. (If you are an international student, please visit our International Student page for application deadlines and admission requirements.)

Once you've decided to attend Lake Tahoe Community College, the first step is to apply. To apply online, complete the online application. To apply in person, ask for an application at the Admissions & Records office. For easy step-by-step instructions for new students, go to our New Student Checklist.

It is recommended that you have your transcripts of college work accomplished at other institutions sent to Lake Tahoe Community College. You may also submit high school transcripts as an aid to counseling. Submission of these records is voluntary, but it will help us to assist you in planning your education.
