AB 540 Tuition Exemption

• Did you attend one or more California high schools for at least 3 years?
• Did you graduate, get your GED or the equivalent?

If you answered yes to both questions, you may be eligible for AB540. AB540 allows students who aren't able to qualify for California residency to receive an exemption of non-resident tuition and only pay California enrollment fees. Other conditions do apply, so please review the AB540 Non-Resident Tuition Waiver form or contact the Admissions & Records office for more information.

International students on an F-1 visa, exchange visitors (J visas), and other individuals who are temporarily in the United States as non-immigrant aliens are not eligible for the AB 540 tuition exemption.
