Location, location, location. LTCC is located in the heart of South Lake Tahoe. Mountains, lake and year round activities are available to students.
LTCC is a safe, friendly and modern campus. LTCC's campus, first built in 1988, is set amid 164 acres of forest near the lake. The college offers state of the art "smart" technology in classrooms; approximately 200 computers are available to students, including two PC labs, one Mac lab, a bank of computer stations in the library, and wireless access throughout the campus. LTCC has had no incidents of major crime on its campus.
High academic standards.
LTCC students succeed. Our students are accepted at public and private universities throughout California and around the nation.
It's a great deal. Students pay the same low fees at all California community colleges. Tuition at LTCC is just $1,407 a year. Annual tuition in the California State University system is $6,422 and at the University of California campuses it is $13,200.
We have small class sizes. The average is 17 students. That means students get to know their instructors.
Jobs are available. South Lake Tahoe's tourism economy provides plentiful part-time employment opportunities for students .
Students live and play in a pristine and healthy environment that offers plenty of chances for outdoor recreation.
There is reasonable rental housing available.
It's Tahoe. Did we mention it's a great place to visit.
