Students Come First

"Students Come First" at Lake Tahoe Community College and scholarships are a fundamental part of the Foundation's fundraising efforts.  The Foundation is focused on financially supporting the students and honoring them by highlighting their accomplishments and celebrating their achievements through different programs and events. The Foundation knows that students need inspiration to stay in school and they need and deserve our recognition and support.

Many of our most outstanding community college students are young people who have had to struggle with many adversities to accomplish their goals and dreams. Many are working full time and often have children at home. They must find the strength and motivation to continue their education as other responsibilities in their lives limit their time to attend class or study. Other students have completed their public education without the benefit of strong parental support and guidance. Some have not experienced academic success prior to coming to the community college. What they share in common is the strong commitment to bettering their lives through education.

With the help of the community we will invest in the students and the College as a critical community resource, inspire hope for tomorrow, and foster optimism and direction for future generations to come. Your generous support of this year's annual fund will serve to inspire students to continue to pursue their academic goals.
