Transfer to Four-year University

Transferring to a university takes careful planning and selection of courses.

LTCC transfers more students to four-year universities than many community colleges twice our size and our students leave prepared for the challenges ahead. Our students do "as well" after transfer as students who start as freshmen at the the four-year institutions, which confirms the excellent academic preparation students receive at LTCC .

LTCC has Transfer Admission Guarantees (TAGs) with UC-Santa Barbara, UC-Davis, UC- San Diego, UC-Santa Cruz, and UC Merced, and UC-Riverside. (TAGs) guarantee admission to these universities one year in advance of enrollment for students who fulfill specific requirements for their major.

"LTCC is great. It entirely prepared me for Berkeley. I was ready for the reading and writing. LTCC has such incredible, intelligent instructors. They're brilliant and very approachable."

Janiene Langford, 27, just finished her gender studies and history degree from UC Berkley. She transferred from LTCC into Berkley as a junior. She plans to continue on and pursue her Ph.D.
