Become a FOSTER PARENT! Lake Tahoe is in critical need of foster homes to support our community's most vulnerable children. Today, there are over 70 local foster children placed in foster homes "off the hill" as far as five hours away because of the shortage of local foster homes. These children not only experience the trauma of being mistreated and removed from their homes, but also the trauma of being removed from their school, neighborhood and all semblance of familiarity…What a tragedy! Contact any of the following agencies to find out more information on how to become a licensed foster home in Lake Tahoe. They are waiting for your call!
