Rhythms and Wine and Microbrew too! is scheduled for Saturday, July 10th from 6 to 9 p.m.  This event is the Foundation’s largest fundraiser of the year and supports the Unrestricted Annual Fund.  Last year’s proceeds supported student scholarships and College programs/equipment.  Tickets are the same price as last year at $60 per person.  Sponsorships are also available for $500 including four tickets plus four commemorative engraved wine glasses and entry at 5:30 p.m.  If you are interested in a sponsorship, your name/business name will be included in all the event promotions. Rhythms and Wine 2008 was a huge success!  The weather cooperated beautifully and the support poured in from the community (click here to see photos).  Food and wine was abundant and music filled the air as guests enjoyed socializing and meeting our new College President, Dr. Paul Killpatrick.  200 people attended with participation including eight wineries from Amador, El Dorado and local Picchetti Winery as well as eight local restaurants.  Part-time South Shore residents attended from Alameda, Folsom, Las Vegas, Phoenix, and San Francisco.  The event produced a gross income of over $29,000 which will benefit college programs, equipment, scholarships, and staff development.  These funds will help ensure that student opportunities at LTCC are not limited due to fluctuations in state funding.

Snowsports Week is held during four days each February at Sierra-at-Tahoe Snowsports Resort.  Discounted tickets are sold for $35 (regularly $64) with the proceeds benefiting Lake Tahoe Community College Foundation, Barton Hospital Foundation, Lake Tahoe Educational Foundation, Tahoe Wildlife Care, and Sierra-at-Tahoe Foundation.  Each year monies from this event fund various charitable projects within the South Shore community. The specially priced tickets must be purchased in advance as tickets are not available at Sierra-at-Tahoe during Snowsports Days. Click here to view our flyer.

Art From the Heart is a biennial art auction occurring in February, with the proceeds supporting the Haldan Art Gallery.  Local and regional artists donate art of various medias.  Silent and live auctions are held throughout the night and wine and hors d’oeuvres are included for the price of a ticket.  The event is held at Edgewood Golf Course.
