Orchid's restaurant to offer lunch options in the LTCC Student Center
Starting Monday, Orchid’s Authentic Thai Restaurant will be serving lunch options four days a week in the LTCC Student Center. Thanks to student initiative, led by Associated Student Council President Rachel Sa-Onoy, the restaurant agreed to offer service to the LTCC community for the winter quarter.

“This is really part of a student effort to reenergize the Student Center,” said Guy Lease, interim vice president of business services. “The contract is just for the winter quarter right now as we try to gauge how responsive people will be.”

The restaurant plans to offer lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. As the quarter progresses, LTCC’s culinary arts students might take over Wednesday’s lunch time slot to offer more variety. Orchid’s lunches will operate on a cash only basis for now.

Barnes & Noble will also continue to operate the coffee cart at its present location in the Student Center. The coffee cart is open 7:45 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
