Winter Quarter Begins, Financial & Student Support Services Available

Full-quarter classes begin Wednesday, January 5, however students can register for these options throughout the week. Students can even register for these classes next week, with faculty permission and a submitted Late Registration Form (PDF). Many late-start, shorter classes that take less time for fewer units are also available throughout the Winter quarter. To see all of the options, visit LTCC's Schedule of Classes.

Financial Aid support is available to help make your college dreams an affordable reality. It's free to apply for LTCC CARES Grants of up to $750, and that's free money that never needs repaying. Apply at www.ltcc.edu/caresgrant; the deadline for Winter is January 20, 2022. Undocumented and Dreamer students are also encouraged to apply; there are grant funds available for these students. Financial Aid staff is available in person, virtually through the Cranium Cafe portal, via email (financialaid@ltcc.edu) or by phone at (530) 541-4660 x636. In-person hours are M-Th 8am-6pm, and Fridays 8am-5pm.

LTCC's Food Pantry and Basic Needs Center is open and ready to serve students who are in need. In addition to free food and personal hygiene products, the Food Pantry can also connect you to help with additional nutrition needs, transportation support/gas gift cards, housing assistance, technology support, and many other basic needs. Visit the Center's webpage and fill out and submit the intake form to be considered for these free services.
 
All registered LTCC students have access to free, 24/7 virtual telehealth support via the TimelyCare app. Both mental health and medical support is available. Students can access free support from anywhere by downloading the app (Android and Apple), or by logging into the TimelyCare website (timelycare.com/LTCC). Students can either schedule a future appointment with the practitioner of their choice, or they can connect with help in 5 minutes or less using the TalkNow feature.
