Women's Soccer Coach

 

Coach Jeremy EvansJeremy comes to Lake Tahoe Community College after establishing himself as one of the top high school coaches in the area. He led South Tahoe High School to back-to-back Nevada Division I-A state championships during the 2013 and 2014 seasons and is a two-time Nevada State Coach of the Year. He compiled a 38-5-4 overall record (.810) and 28-1-3 league record (.880) in his two-year reign at South Tahoe. His 2013 team was ranked among top teams in the NSCAA Region VI (CA, WA, OR, UT, NV, NM, ID) and finished the season ranked No. 1 in Nevada (all classifications) by MaxPreps.com. He was on the coaching staff the previous three seasons when the school won state titles in 2010 and 2011.  Jeremy is the Director of Coaching for South Tahoe Futbol Club and holds a USSF "D" License.

As a player, Jeremy played at NCAA Division I Marquette University after transferring from Phoenix College, a nationally-ranked junior college program where he earned all-league honors as a sophomore. A former member of Arizona-based Cisco and Tucson United club programs, he helped lead his teams to multiple Arizona State Cup titles, a Nomads College Showcase title, and the Region IV semifinals. A two-year member of the Arizona ODP team, he also played semi-professionally in the Premier Development League.

Jeremy earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Marquette University and his Master of Arts in Teaching from Sierra Nevada College. He's a twice-published author; his first book on ski bums was released in 2010 and his forthcoming about surfing and environmentalism is due out later this year. He lives in South Lake Tahoe with his wife, Isabelle, and his daughters, Olivia and Carmen.
