  • Canvas Certification
Lake Tahoe Community College uses Canvas as the learning management system to deliver online courses to students. Before you teach an online course you must be certified to use Canvas.
 
 
  • Online Faculty Handbook
Once you are certified to use Canvas you will be added to the Online Faculty Handbook. In the handbook you will be able to decide if online teaching is right for you, and:
• your responsibilities as an online instructor
• important components to add to your Canvas course
• what actions you need to take before, during, and after the quarter
• resources to enhance your courses
 
The Online Faculty Handbook is a Canvas site that you will be able to access once you log into Canvas.
